Name: Woolley Farm Merrill Ewe or Ram: Ram Breed & Registry: Jacob (pending JSBA registration - Qualified) Wethered: Can be done Dam: Gwen Sire: Ashcroft DOB: 3/25/2008 Birthweight: 5.0 pounds Type of Birth : Twin Number of Horns: 4, good spacing Coloring: 80% White, 20% Black, muzzle black on chin Desirable Traits: Distinct Spotting in good pattern, Fleece Quality, 2 black feet, good eye patches Undesirable Traits: Too much white, nose is white, 2 white feet, no knee patches Notes: Merill is twin to Mabel and is named after my 5 year old grandson with Autism. His mom is very protective so it's difficult to get close to him. He is not supplemented so is still alittle wild. Merrill would make an excellent addition to a spinners flock as a wether or as a ram when added with darker ewes. His fleece is fantastic and with 4 horns, he'll be a stunning wether!

Name: Woolley Farm Mitt Romney Ewe or Ram: Ram Breed & Registry: Romney, Natural Colored (pending both registrations - Qualified) Wethered: No Dam: Stonecroft Purl Sire: Woolley Farm Jet DOB: 2/15/2008 Birthweight: 6.5 lbs Type of Birth : Twin to Obama Number of Horns: Polled Coloring: 98% Black, white top-knot Desirable Traits: All black natural colored, good for foundation ram, Fleece Quality, supplemented with bottle so very friendly Undesirable Traits: None Notes: With 2 black romneys, we had no choice on the names! Mitt is a sweet boy and mild mannered. He love to climb into my lap for his bottle, although he's not very pushy about meal-time. Mitt would make an excellent addition to a spinners flock or for someone looking for a Registered Romney all-black ram. If Mitt is not sold this year, he will be going on the show circuit with us as an entrant into the Natural Colored division. Price: $ 250. |
Name: Woolley Farm Elvis Ewe or Ram: Ram Breed & Registry: Jacob (pending JSBA registration - Qualified) Wethered: To be done Dam: Bridget Sire: Unzicker Trubador DOB: 2/19/2008 Birthweight: Type of Birth : Single Number of Horns: 4, good spacing Coloring: 80% White, 20% Black, muzzle black on chin Desirable Traits: Distinct Spotting in good pattern, Fleece Quality, supplemented with bottle so very friendly Undesirable Traits: One slipped eye patch, nose is white, white feet, no knee patches Notes: Separated at birth, Bridget did not bond until we slowly grafted Elvis. Hence, we called him Elvis as he was "Lonesome Tonight". Elvis is a sweet boy and mild mannered. He is the first to run to me when I call and loves his bottle. He likes to have his butt scratched and his head rubbed and follows me like a puppy. He is not the most pushy, but is not timid either. Elvis would make an excellent addition to a spinners flock. His fleece is fantastic (thanks to Trubador!) and with 4 horns, he'll be a stunning wether!

Name: Woolley Farm Lamb Chop Ewe or Ram: Ram Breed & Registry: Romney Wethered: To be done Dam: Knit Sire: Woolley Farm Jet DOB: 3/13/2008 Birthweight: 11.5 Type of Birth : Single Number of Horns: Polled Coloring: 100% White Desirable Traits: Good Fleece Quality, Good Romney ram or wether, Undesirable Traits: None known Notes: Lambchop was a large baby born to a black Romney mom. He is not supplemented with a bottle, hence is currently untamed. With the others, he is not as 'rough & tumble' as the Jacob babies but is more of a lumbering giant. The others use him to hide behind and he just seems to shake his head and mutter "silly jacob babies - stop playing and start eating!'. Lamb chop was the first to eat hay & grain. His fleece is dense & typical Romney. Would be a great wether for a hand-spinning flock - think of about 8 pounds of wool to hand dye & play with! Price: $ 175. |
Name: Woolley Farm Emily Ewe or Ram: Ewe Breed & Registry: Jacob/ Romney Cross - pending Natural Colored Assoc registration Dam: Beatrice (Reg. Jacob) Sire: Woolley Farm Jet (Reg. Romney) DOB: 2/29/2008 Birthweight: 5.5 lbs Type of Birth : Single Number of Horns: polled Coloring: 10% White, 90% Black, white on chest, topknot, blaze on face, white tail-tip, white hocks Desirable Traits: Striking coloration, Fleece Quality Undesirable Traits: None known Notes: Emily is a quiet, timid lamb, who sticks close to her mom. But what striking color on her! She's a looker, that's for sure and would stand out in any hand-spinners flock or as a Natural Colored 4-H project. With the Romney in her, her fleece will be nice and with the Jacob background, she'll be hardy and low-maintenance.

Name: Woolley Farm Kathleen Ewe or Ram: Ewe Breed & Registry: Jacob/Romney Cross - to be registered with Natural Colored Assoc. Dam: Gracelyn (Jacob) Sire: Woolley Farm Jet (black Romney) DOB: 2/26/2008 Birthweight: 5.0 Type of Birth : Single Number of Horns: polled Coloring: 5% White, 95% Black, white patch on head & chest Desirable Traits: Unusual open Fleece , supplemented with bottle so very friendly, Very forward Undesirable Traits: None noted Notes: Kathleen is a large, aggressive baby. She is a noisy & clever eater. She'll come up from underneath the other lambs sucking on the bottle, knock them away, and take it for herself. Or she'll latch onto the bottle top and PULL it out of the other lambs mouth. Nothing stands in the way of her eating! She will make an excellent lead ewe and takes no gruff from the others. The other babies are already following her around. She's very confident and should mature out the size of a Romney. Her fleece is unusual - little crimp, very open. she's the only baby with this type of fleece which is not typical of either a Jacob or a Romney. Kathleen is friendly with people and would be a great addition to a spinner flock with her black unusual fleece and her fun personality. Price: $ 150 |
Name: Woolley Farm Mercy Ewe or Ram: Ewe Breed & Registry: CorriedalE/Jacob cross (pending Natual Colored Assoc.registration - Qualified) Wethered: To be done Dam: Surely - corriedale Sire: Trubador - Jacob DOB: 2/15/2008 Birthweight: 5-1/2 pounds Type of Birth : Twin Number of Horns: None Coloring: 5% White, 95% Black, white patch on top of head & on chest Desirable Traits: Fleece Quality open & airy, Supplemented with bottle so very friendly. Mother consistently delivers twins & triplets. Undesirable Traits: Rather a pig, like her mother! Notes: Supplemented with bottle and is very agressive taking it. Will make a good lead ewe as she seems to have her mothers domineering personality. Price: $ 150. |
Name: Woolley Farm Kenmare Ewe or Ram: Ram Breed & Registry: Jacob (pending JSBA registration - Qualified) Wethered: No (but can be done if requested) Dam: Pansy (Jacob) Sire: Unzicker Trubador (Jacob) DOB: 2/14/2008 Birthweight: 7.0 lbs Type of Birth : Single Number of Horns: 4, good spacing Coloring: 70% Black, 30% White, Desirable Traits: Fleece Quality, supplemented with bottle so very friendly, good horn spacing, blue eyes, black feet Undesirable Traits: High percentage of black, no knee patches Notes: Kenmare was a large baby to one of our best ewes. He is confident, stately, and would make an excellent lead ram or a stunning addition to a small flock. With 4 horns, he's going to be a traffic stopper, yet gentle enough to handle without fear. Kenmare is named after the town in Ireland where we own a little stone house. His fleece is just like his father, Trubador, which is spectacular. If you have ewes that are too white, Kenmare would help balance out any offspring. Price: $ 250. |
Name: Woolley Farm Lynnie Ewe or Ram: Ewe Breed & Registry: Jacob (Not qualified to be registered with JSBA, but can be registered with Natural Colored Assoc) Dam: Stony Acres Ellen Sire: Unzicker Trubador DOB: 3/15/2008 Birthweight: 8.5 lbs Type of Birth : Single Number of Horns: Coloring: 80% White, 20% Black Desirable Traits: Distinct Spotting in good pattern, Fleece Quality Undesirable Traits: White face, wild Notes: Lynnie is a singlet born to our first-bought ewe Ellen. Ellen is an extremely protective mom, so it is hard to catch Lynnie or get too close to her without being butted by Ellen. As a result, Lynnie is a little wild. She can run like the wind and is the highest jumper I've ever seen. She likes to climb on things and launch into the air. With a totally white face (not sure where THAT came from), Lynnie cannot be registered as with the JSBA and her price reflects that, but with Trubador as her dad, her fleece will be great and she will be a low-care self-sufficient addition to a spinners flock. Price: $ 200. |
Name: Woolley Farm Marion Ewe or Ram: Ewe Breed & Registry: Jacob (pending JSBA registration - Qualified) Dam: Annabelle Pumpkin (Jacob) Sire: Unzicker Ashcroft DOB: 3/10/2008 Birthweight: 4.0 lbs Type of Birth : twin Number of Horns: 2 Coloring: 70% black, 30% white Desirable Traits: 3 Distinct facial markings, black feet, Fleece Quality, supplemented with bottle so very friendly Undesirable Traits: High percentage of black, only a couple of knee patches Notes: Marion is a real sweetie. Very similiar in size to her brother Fergus, Marion is out of our best ewe Pumpkin, who won top honors in Colorado at the Annual Jacob show in 2006. Her father Ashcroft is a stunning 4 horn ram with excellent fleece (although not as fine as Trubadors). Marion is the 2nd best ewe lamb for 2008 and will be staying here in the flock. Adoption: Adopted by Marion Gallant until 6-1-2009 2009 Fleece Reservation: Reserved by Marion Gallant Price: (NOT FOR SALE) |
