Irish Border Collies

Shepherds Tour of Ireland

Shearing Services

We often bring back Border Collie pups from our trips to Ireland. The Irish BCs are not registered, not bred for shows, and are not good ‘house-pets’.  These are from long lines of hard working, intense, sheep dogs.  Their parents may have won trials, but 99% of their awake time they spend in the fields or up on the mountains with their shepherds.  They are the smartest dogs in the world and believe me, they will figure out a way to work ---if you don’t give them a job, they will find their own & you will not like it!
Our first pup we imported is now 5 years old. Murphy’s Irish Stout has cost us over $15,000 between vet bills from chasing horses (and getting kicked), and antiques he destroyed before we got him some sheep to watch.
We will import a pup for you at a cost of $600; however, they must go to working farms only, otherwise both the dog and the owner will be miserable.  If you are disappointed with the American versions of Border Collies and want a real ‘working’ dog, please contact us.

$600 fee includes cost of pup from breeder in Ireland, vet check in Ireland, worm meds, first shots, flea & lice dip in Ireland, shipping crate, airfare, customs forms, etc.
