Brandon is a professional sheep shearer. He has taught at the Maine Sheep Shearing School each spring. He uses high quality expensive electric shears for the main shearing and uses hand shears for the trimming. In addition, he trims the sheeps feet and can also help with giving them their annual shots.

He will shear as little as 1 sheep and as many as 50, although that many will take 2 days. Shearing is extremely hard on the back! It is also important to have the sheep penned, dry, and have a few people to help catch/drag the sheep to the shearing area.

Brandons forte is the kindness & gentleness he exhibits when handling the sheep. While there are faster shearers available, none are as careful and kind as Brandon. He is also very careful about 'second cuts' which improves the quality of the fleece for hand-spinners. He has many many high recommendations.
